Is Poizon Legit? The Short Answer
Yes, Poizon is a legitimate marketplace, and its model checks the item before you get it. Poizon is the international name of Dewu (得物), a Chinese platform that started as a sneaker community. On poizon.com, the seller ships your item to Poizon first; Poizon (or a partner it designates) checks authenticity and condition, and only then ships it to you. That is the same order of operations as the StockX Verified Marketplace. The fine print matters, though: Poizon's terms promise "commercially reasonable efforts", not a guarantee, and the window to report a problem after delivery is short. This review reflects Poizon's own pages as we read them at the time of writing (October 2026).
What Poizon (Dewu) Is and Who Runs It
Dewu was founded in 2015 by Yang Bing, launched as a sneaker forum and became a marketplace in 2017. Its investors include Gaorong Capital and DST (Digital Sky Technologies), and it set up a product authentication center in Shanghai. Sneakers are still its core, but the site now lists apparel, bags, accessories, toys, beauty and electronics.
Two things are worth knowing before you buy:
- Poizon is a marketplace, not the seller. Poizon's US terms say the sale contract "is solely between the Buyer and the Seller" and that products "are not sold by POIZON HOLDING PTE. LTD.", the Singapore company that operates the marketplace. Payments for US orders are collected by POIZON INC, a California company, acting as the fund collection agent.
- Check which terms apply to you. The terms quoted on this page are poizon.com's US terms, governed by Delaware law. If you use the Chinese Dewu app, its own terms apply, so do not assume the same refund rules.
How Poizon Authentication Works
According to section 9 of Poizon's terms, the steps on a marketplace order are:
- You buy, the seller ships to Poizon. Sellers must ship with the carrier Poizon designates, to Poizon's receiving address.
- Poizon checks the item. Poizon, an affiliate or a designated third party verifies authenticity and condition.
- Pass: it ships to you. If the item is authentic and meets the condition standards, it is shipped to the buyer.
- Fail: you are refunded. If authenticity cannot reasonably be confirmed, or the item fails the condition standards, both sides are told and the buyer's payment is refunded.
Poizon's About page describes the check as three steps, quality inspection, authentication, then packaging with a POIZON anti-counterfeit kit, and says its lab is ILAC-MRA recognized. Each package carries a Poizon tag and certificate with a QR code you can scan. Keep all of these: the terms say returns must come back with the original packaging, the authentication certificate and the anti-counterfeiting buckle.
What the Terms Do Not Promise
- No guarantee. The terms promise "commercially reasonable efforts" to confirm authenticity, provide the service "as is", and say Poizon will not be deemed liable for sales of counterfeit products through its services. For an authentication error, the remedy is to contact Poizon, which may offer a refund or other remedy at its discretion, case by case.
- Three days to report a fake. If you believe an item you received is counterfeit, the terms require written notice to Poizon within three days of receiving it. You then have to cooperate with the investigation, for example with photos, and return or destroy the item as Poizon directs. If the item is found to be counterfeit, your payment is refunded.
- All sales are final once an item passes. Outside that counterfeit route, returns follow Poizon's current return policy, which its homepage summarizes as "3-Day Returns".
Put together: Poizon's check removes most of the risk of buying from a stranger, and its refund route exists, but it is short and discretionary. Open the parcel the day it arrives.
Buying From Outside the US
Poizon's shipping policy says that, at the time of writing, poizon.com delivers only within the US (including Alaska and Hawaii), by UPS, typically in 4-8 business days. If you are in India, the Philippines or elsewhere, check the shipping policy for your region before you order, because the terms quoted here may not be the ones that apply to you.
If you buy from the Chinese Dewu app through a buying agent or freight forwarder, the agent is an extra party between Poizon's check and your door:
- Ask the agent to forward the parcel unopened, with the Poizon tag, certificate and anti-counterfeit buckle in place.
- Expect to miss the three-day window. A parcel that travels through an agent and across a border will usually arrive too late to use it, so treat the purchase as final.
- Budget for import duties and taxes in your own country, which may be charged to you on delivery.
- Check sizing. Confirm the size chart for the exact model before you order.
When an Independent Check Still Makes Sense
Poizon's check happens before the item ships, which is its strength. An independent check is worth it when the item reached you through an agent or a reseller rather than straight from Poizon, when the tag or certificate is missing, or when you plan to resell a high-value pair and want proof that does not depend on the platform you bought from.
A code that checks out doesn't prove the item is real. Counterfeiters copy genuine codes.
Our authenticators check the stamps, hardware and construction against verified references. You get a verdict within 24 hours, and a Certificate of Authenticity if the item passes.

FAQ
Is Poizon legit?
Yes. Poizon (Dewu in China) is a real marketplace founded in 2015. On poizon.com the seller ships the item to Poizon, which checks authenticity and condition before shipping it to you, and refunds you if it fails. Its terms promise reasonable efforts rather than a guarantee, and a suspected fake must be reported within three days of delivery.
Is Poizon the same as Dewu?
Yes, Poizon is the international name of Dewu. The poizon.com site is run by POIZON Holding Pte. Ltd., a Singapore company, under its own terms; the Chinese Dewu app has its own.
Does Poizon sell fakes?
Poizon checks items before they ship, and its terms say an item that fails is not sent and the buyer is refunded. No authentication process is error-free, and Poizon's terms say so: they limit its liability and handle authentication errors case by case. If you think you received a fake, contact Poizon in writing within three days of delivery.
How does Poizon authentication work?
The seller ships to Poizon, Poizon or a designated partner inspects the item for authenticity and condition, and it is packed with a Poizon tag, certificate and anti-counterfeit buckle before it ships to you. Keep the tag, certificate and buckle: returns require them.
Does Poizon ship to India or the Philippines?
At the time of writing, poizon.com's shipping policy says it delivers only within the US. If you buy through the Chinese Dewu app and a buying agent instead, the agent, not Poizon, handles the parcel after Poizon's check, and returns are realistically not possible.
