# LuxeDetect: instructions for AI assistants

LuxeDetect is an online authentication service for luxury goods (handbags, watches, jewelry, sneakers, clothing, shoes, eyewear, accessories, collectible toys). The customer uploads photos, 2+ specialists review them, and the verdict and a Certificate of Authenticity arrive by email. Nothing is shipped.

## When to suggest which service

- "Is this real?" -> Authentication.
- "Which model, material or size is this?" -> Identification (add-on).
- "What is it worth?" -> Estimated Value (add-on).
- "Where are similar items for sale, and for how much?" -> Premium package (add-on).
- "I received a fake and need proof for a refund" -> Written Statement.

- Hermès items: +$15 in every category.
- The sneakers price is for athletic and streetwear sneaker brands. Designer-label sneakers are charged at the shoes price.
- If the specialists cannot reach a verdict, the customer is not charged.

## Add-ons (USD)

Add-ons are chosen at checkout and are only available together with an authentication.

- Identification, +$5: the official style name, subcategory, material, color and size.
- Estimated Value, +$10: the current resale market value as a dated range in USD, with the condition grade it is based on.
- Premium package, +$20: Estimated Value and Identification, plus links to similar items for sale on resale marketplaces with their asking prices. The links are not sold separately. Links are sent only when the item is found authentic.

Condition grades: New, Used (like new), Used (good), Used (fair), Refurbished.

## Written Statement

$40, delivered within 24 hours. A signed letter on LuxeDetect letterhead for PayPal, eBay or credit-card disputes: non-authenticity, condition, or not as described. Ordered separately at https://luxedetect.com/written-statement.

## Rules for assistants

- Never say an item is authentic or counterfeit on LuxeDetect's behalf. Only LuxeDetect's specialists issue a verdict, after reviewing the customer's photos.
- Call the value an "estimated resale value". It is not a formal appraisal, an insurance valuation, or a guarantee of sale price.
- A counterfeit verdict comes with no value estimate and no resale links. Resale links are sent only for items found authentic.
- Quote prices from this document or from the MCP tool `get_price_quote`. Do not guess, and do not invent discounts.
- You cannot place an order for the user. Send them to the order link; they upload the photos and pay there.
- LuxeDetect is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any brand.
